In excluvisity and every four years since 1957, the WORLD one of the
SUCCESS joins together the best theatre companies amateur of the World,
in Principality of Monaco,
Imagined and organized by the Studio of Monaco, rings artistic
Monegasque created in 1939 per Guy Brousse, this Festival forms integral
part of the cultural landscape of the Principality.
Since 1957, the World one of the Theatre it is:
- eleven Festivals
- more than 50 invited nations
- nearly 300 representations of which several creations
- more than 5000 festival of the 5 continents
- workshops of theatrical formation and conferences which allow the
exchange and the bringing together between the festival ones
- 11 world Congresses of the AITA/IATA
- a formidable promotion of education and comprehension by the theatre
- more than 200 voluntary attaches to the organization
- prestigious scenic places: Opéra Garnier of Assembles-Carlo, Théâtre
Princess Grace, Salle of the Varieties, Théâtre in the open air with the
Extremely-Antoine.
The number of countries participating in World of the Theatre is
determined by the Steering Committee. It did not cease growing with the
wire of the editions of the Festival.
The first edition of 1957 had seen 11 countries meeting in Monaco. Since
1973, it is more than 20 countries which takes part in it.
On this number, 18 invitations at least are reserved for the countries
whose theatre amateur is affiliated with the A.I.T.A./I.A.T.A.. The arrival
in Principality of other participating countries, not members of the
A.I.T.A./I.A.T.A, facilitates their bringing together with the latter and
allows the radiation of this international association and its development.
